What is ProtoLinker?
ProtoLinker is a software as a service that allows users to connect with different devices using a number of protocols, enabling the communication between these different protocols, where the user can set the communication between each protocol and select from each protocol what data that is desired to be transferred for the other one.
Do I need to be a programmer to use it?
Not at all, everything is done through a user-friendly interface where no code is nedded, just a basic knowledge about your devices to be able to connect to them and also about the protocols you want to use, so you can configure everything right.
What are the supported protocols?
Currently, we support protocols like modbus, profibus CANopen, MQTT, TCP and rest, but our team is always studying and open to add support to other protocols
What are the supported platforms?
Currently the ProtoLinker is available for Windows, MacOS and Linux.
Can I use it offline?
No, as some protocols are internet based, it is necessary to have internet connection to use it.
What are data points and data points links?
Data points are individual values from a device or system, like a Modbus register or an MQTT topic.
Data point links connect these values, so when one data point changes, all linked data points are automatically updated to stay in sync.
